Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS), or Bulk Ink System (BIS) are a means of supplying a continous flow of ink to the printhead, without the need to change out cartridges.

Ink is supplied in bottles or bags, typically 1 Litre or 2 Litre.

The benefits are:

• Significantly lower ink costs and a wider range of ink suppliers to choose from
• Less waste
• Higher throughput

As such, they are ideal for users requiring maximum up-time, with relatively high print volumes.
